How Grant Deadlines Work
Not every deadline is a date. Understanding the type of deadline tells you how much time you actually have.

Fixed rounds
A closing date and time, often with a hard portal cut-off. Applications are assessed together and decisions follow weeks or months later.
Rolling and continuous
Applications are accepted and assessed as they arrive, until the fund is exhausted. Earlier is genuinely better here.
Forecasted and upcoming
The funder has signalled a programme but has not opened it. This is the best time to prepare documents so you can apply quickly when it opens.
Closed
The round has ended. Many programmes repeat annually, so record the date and prepare for the next cycle.
Plan backwards from the date
Set your own internal deadline at least three days before the funder's, and allow time for document collection, internal sign-off and a final review.
Next step
GrantBridge does not guarantee grant approval or funding. Funding decisions are made by the respective funders.
