How to Find Grants
Finding grants is a research process, not a lucky search. This is the method that wastes the least time.
Step 1 — Define what you need funded
Write one sentence describing the activity and the amount. 'Twenty thousand for childcare equipment and staff training' is searchable. 'Funding for our organization' is not.
Step 2 — Search by activity, not by the word 'grant'
Search the thing you do: childcare, restaurant, clean energy, research, community development. The GrantBridge Grant Finder also expands related terms — a search for daycare grants will also consider childcare, early childhood and preschool programmes — and only returns real opportunities from live data.
Step 3 — Filter hard on eligibility
Check organization type, location and purpose before reading anything else. Discard anything you cannot enter.
Step 4 — Verify against the official source
Open the funder's own page for every shortlisted opportunity. Deadlines and terms change, and the official source is the only version that counts.
Step 5 — Track deadlines and prepare in advance
Save the opportunities you qualify for, record the deadlines, and gather the standard documents once so each application starts from the same base.
